An elegant café located in the busy streets of khar, The Fork Tale promises outstanding ambience and service along with it’s fine dine global cuisine.
We tried the following dishes:
Cheese Kurkure- cheese deep fried and wrapped in a crispy coating.
The presentation of the dish was on point. Each Kurkure was dipped in a sweet sauce so every you tasted the sauce only with your first bite. The cheese wasn’t melted so it tasted very dry and bland.
Mushroom ki Galaouti- a vegetarian take on what is normally Mutton Galaouti
We think that the restaurant did a good job in transforming the mushrooms into the perfect texture for Galaouti. If you’re vegetarian or you’re going vegetarian for Ganpati, you should definitely try this one out.
Scarmoza Mac Burger- Mac and cheese burger served with Cajun fries.
Served in between a noir bun, the Patty was made of Mac and cheese and served with Lettuce and tomatoes. The burger tasted good and the fries too were well done. However, we think the burger was slightly overpriced for its size.
Camembert Brûlée- Brûlée made of Camembert cheese served with pesto bread.
The dish was beautifully presented, the in-house made bread was nice and crispy and topped with pesto sauce. The brûlée was however mediocre and the quantity is too small for it to be served as an entrée.
Salted Caramel Popcorn Freakshake- blend of salted caramel ice cream, caramel syrup, whipped cream, caramel balls and popcorn.
This freakshake was one of the best we have had in the city, it wasn’t like any other freakshake that is loaded with chocolate and over sweetened. If there one reason we urge you to try this place out is it’s this freakshake. The glass was coated with popcorn and chocolate and we totally didn’t pluck them out to finish them 😉
The Godfather- a spicy cocktail made of peri peri masala, lemon juice and chia seeds.
The cocktail was truly a spicy one. However there spiciness was not balanced out with taste. We didn’t enjoy the mock tail and wouldn’t recommend you spend your money on this one.
