What are you saying? Tell us more deets.

Hold on, I am blurting. Dapoli is 6-7 hours away from Mumbai. A road trip is fun specially in monsoons as it would be all green.

What is Dapoli? We haven’t even heard.
Like I said it is offbeat. I love locations which people don’t know as you get to enjoy your peace and calmness.

For how many days?
I went for one night stay but would personally recommend you to atleast stay for two nights or else it gets too hectic.

Where did you stay?
We stayed at the Fern Resort Samali. It is a very relaxing property with good food.
If you book in advance, it begins between 4500-5500₹ per night.

How’s the property?
The property is breathtaking and a getaway from the bustling Bombay city. You are welcomed with Arti. There is a beautiful meadow with plantations all around.

There is myriad of plantations with names around. Also, if you choose the lilac room then there is an open shower which is adorable.
If you choose the aster room, you get the beautiful view of the valley which is mesmerising.

The rooms are spacious.
We stayed in the Mongolia cottage which was decent too.

But my recommendations would be Aster ( I checked it online on make my trip, it was around Rs6000)

Anything else to do at the property?
They have various spa treatments at the property.
What intrigued me was the mango spa as per the season.

You could relax at the pool as well.
Or you know what, just sit by the meadows and read a book or listen to music or have coffee or have wine. You will feel so good.

Also, there is folk dance 💃🏻at the amphitheater. Different folk dances from quaint villages having a story are presented and it is pretty interesting.

How’s the staff?
I just felt at home. The staff was so down to earth and helping. They were all greeting with warm smiles.

How’s the food?
You usually get good Indian food. Poha, Upma, Idli and all would be a normal course for breakfast. Oh yes not to forget the normal omelette, breads, cornflakes and juices.

I loved my lunch spread also on both days.
We feasted onto really good paneer, Roti, tadka dal and rice. Oh yes, the rasgulla deserves a special mention as it was so soft.

#TGJTIPS :
Atleast stay here for two nights as the journey to and fro is 6 hours each minimum with barely 2 halts.

Also, please take a car/ vehicle. Internal travelling is otherwise impossible as there is absence of public transport.

So I am going to tell you guys my itenary which was very hectic as I barely had a day but you all could space it out. Post the itenary I shall be elaborating my every experience.

Murud Janjira Beach:
This beach is pretty famous. This one being famous has lot of population.
Also there are water sports like para sailing and banana jetty rides to do.

Or just have a nice walk while the breeze welcomes you and waves enrapture you.

I always like exploring and experiencing the local lanes so I would suggest you to walk in the lanes and get yourself acquainted with some warm smiles and colourful buildings.

Ladhgar Beach :
You could watch some beautiful dolphins in the morning from your little boat.
I sadly missed it as I was too tired to wake up early morning but the ones who woke up told us that it was a very beautiful site.

However I tried this beach in the evening for sunset and it was absolutely breathtaking. It’s so quiet and pretty. There is black sand around which uplifts the beach. Also, the sunset is a sight to behold.

#TGJTIPS : Do carry a torch as there are no lights around. You could also carry something to munch on.
But please carry a bag to dispose the garbage off as the beach is very clean.

Sight seeing :

Also, as you hop into the hotel room, there will be an arena of brochures kept by your desk for seeing what’s around.
The town of Dapoli hosts lot of culture like forts, local markets. Also the kokum sherbet is very much famous.
1. The hot water spring bath is very soothing and sacred.
2. It has many ideal places for sightseeing and planning picnics with your family. The places such as Suvarnadurg Fort, Panhalekaji Caves, Kanakadurg and Fatehgarh Fort and Goa fort are worth paying a visit whenever you’re in town.

3. Trekking : If you love exploring on foot or are a fitness freak, go trekking to Madangad Fort . The trek is surrounded by mountains, forests and muddy trails.

4. Dapoli is known for its temples. So if you are fond of it, then you should go see the Keshav Temple.

So that’s about it,
Two nights, three days seems like a great deal.

#TGJTIPS: There is really poor network connection, so internet barely works.

But you know that was somewhere the best thing:
To disconnect from the world
And connect with the real world of nature, warmth and smiles.

We had an absolute blast at the staycation. The property is soaked in nature with good hospitality and great food thereby making it a pretty luxurious quaint little place.

Explore it before it gets too common 😜

Some of the pictures have been beautifully captured by @overratedoutcast , @chefyash @omkarshinde (do follow them on Instagram for some great work)
